Happy Friday! Sick of scrolling through your streaming services endlessly in search of something to watch? Our monthly “what to watch on” guides are here to help! This month we’re recommending movies & TV shows to watch on Peacock. If you recently joined the streaming service to watch the Olympics, now is the perfect time to check out what else Peacock has to offer. NB: We opted not to include The Office or Parks & Rec etc. not because we don’t love them, but we assume you know that their home is NBC and therefore Peacock. <3

Since our weekly newsletters review the brand new TV that comes out, these monthly editions are a place to highlight the rest. Not quite a “Best Of” list for the platform, we aimed for a collection of movies and TV shows we think you should check out that include underrated faves, shows we’ve been re-watching, and more.

We hope you find something in here that sounds up your alley for your weekend watching. And if you missed it from prior months, you can find our What to Watch on Netflix list here, Hulu here and Prime Video here.

10 Movies to Watch on Peacock

Monkey Man (2024)

Dev Patel’s long-awaited directorial debut is a visceral, adrenaline-fueled ride that offers more than the standard John Wick-esque revenge thriller. Underlying the action is a culturally rich experience and a searing indictment of corruption and inequality in modern India. Patel is magnetic as the so-called “Monkey Man”, and his passion for this project can be felt in every frame. — JS

Hell or High Water (2016)
